Race-mixers and conspiracist cranks – the German ‘coup plot’ farce

Here at H&D we thought we had seen every possible method of discrediting the nationalist cause, and every form of embarrassment among our so-called leaders dragging the noble ideals of racial nationalism into the gutter.
But the tragi-comedy of this week’s “far right coup plot” in Germany has plumbed new depths.
When raids took place across Germany (plus one in Austrian and one in Italy) early on Wednesday morning, we were told that a German Prince and various “far right” politicians and ex-military figures had been plotting to overthrow German “democracy” and restore the monarchy.
This was said to be based on a so-called Reichsbürger movement who deny the legitimacy of the present German state.
As it happens they have a pretty good case. German “democracy” has after all brought in tyrannical laws silencing historical debate, and is on the point of sending the 94-year-old scholar Ursula Haverbeck back to prison for the “crime” of questioning the “Holocaust” and asking whether it was truly feasible for six million Jews to have been murdered in supposed “homicidal gas chambers” on the apparently non-existent orders of Adolf Hitler.
Earlier this week this same German “democracy” staged another political show trial against the philosopher and former lawyer Horst Mahler, who will be 87 next month and has had both legs amputated due to health conditions aggravated by previous prison sentences for Orwellian “thought crimes”.
Notwithstanding this tyrannical treatment of its own citizens, the present-day Federal Republic is of very doubtful legitimacy: it doesn’t have a proper constitution, only a “Basic Law” that was drafted as a temporary measure for the former West Germany when it emerged from Anglo-American military occupation. The idea was that this Basic Law would eventually be superseded by a new constitution voted on by an eventually reunified German people.
That referendum never happened and the “temporary” Basic Law remains in force.
So the alleged coup plotters in some ways had a sound argument. We have no idea whether the lurid stories of attempted armed insurrection were true, false or half-true. Doubtless more details will emerge at future trials.
What we do know is that the ideological background of the “coup plotters” is an utter shambles, bearing no relation to any form of racial nationalism, let alone national socialism.
The latest to be unveiled is a celebrity chef who worked for the prince. This chef, Frank Heppner, was married to an Asian: his half-Asian daughter is the girlfriend of an “Austrian” negro footballer David Alaba, whose father is Nigerian and mother from the Philippines.
In short, a model European family!!!
And these are the people who were going to save Germany: a sick joke.

They have nothing to do with racial nationalism or national socialism. Rather they represent the decadent remnant of Eurotrash “aristocracy” and reactionary politics, with an ideology cobbled together from pre-war “conservative revolutionaries” and 21st century crank conspiracy theory.
It is embarrassing that they could in any way be linked to the true European cause.
Race and the UK Census: facing the facts
Mainstream journalists as well as H&D readers have this week been confronted by sobering news from the UK Census. This is a snapshot of the UK population taken in March 2021 (and a year later in Scotland), but whose results regarding racial demographics (excluding Scotland) were released a few days ago.
Some observers have clouded the picture by making inaccurate claims, notably Nigel Farage due to his longstanding ideological confusion of the concepts of race and nationality.
And some racial nationalists have seized on the Census to make pessimistic statements that the “Great Replacement” has already occurred.
UK census and racial replacement: H&D analysis

Demographic details were released this week from the Census taken in March 2021 in England and Wales – some of the figures for Northern Ireland had already been released a few weeks earlier, while in Scotland the Census was delayed by 12 months due to the pandemic, so Scottish results are not yet available. The Census findings should come as no surprise to H&D readers, though they seem to have shocked some civic nationalists and might yet convert some of the latter to racial realism.
Yet we should be careful not to react with excessive pessimism. The Census reveals a changing UK, but not one that has changed beyond rescue. White Britons are still a majority in most of our country and will remain so for years to come. The UK can be rescued, if racial nationalists have sufficient political will, discipline and competence.
The main headlines reflected census findings concerning both religion and the racial transformation of British cities.
For the first time the majority of the population in England and Wales no longer define themselves as Christian. This is only the third Census which has asked about religion, so no pre-2001 comparisons can be made, but it can safely be assumed from other data that the vast majority of Britons would have defined themselves as some sort of Christian until the 1960s when the younger generation began to abandon their parents’ faith and non-Christian immigrants began to arrive in significant numbers.
It is the abandonment of faith by White Britons that has contributed most to this aspect of the transformation of England and Wales: no doubt we shall find similar patterns in Scotland when the figures are eventually published. (The religious Census question is voluntary, and 6% of respondents in England and Wales chose not to answer it.)
37.2% of respondents answered ‘no religion’ (up from 25.2% a decade ago); 6.5% answered Muslim (up from 4.9%); and 46.2% answered Christian (down from 59.3%).
The other minority faiths remained at almost the same level as in 2021, including Hindu (1.7%), Sikh (0.9%), Buddhist (0.5%) and Jewish (0.5%). It should be noted that many Jews define themselves in racial/cultural terms and are not religiously ‘observant’, so would probably have replied to this Census question by ticking ‘no religion’ or refusing to answer, but even so it’s doubtful whether Jews of any description amount to more than 1% of the UK population.
In Northern Ireland far fewer answered ‘no religion’: 17.4%, a substantial increase from 10.1% in 2011 but less than half the figure for England and Wales. It seems likely that people from a Catholic background in Northern Ireland are especially likely to answer ‘Catholic’ for political/cultural reasons, even if they are no longer religious believers.
In reality, the surprise is that 27.5 million people in England and Wales still define themselves as ‘Christian’: anecdotal evidence suggests that these are heavily concentrated among older White Britons, Eastern European immigrants; and blacks. The churches can partly blame themselves for this decline. There has been no robust equivalent to the ‘Counter-Reformation’ of past centuries, little defence of traditional values, merely a meek surrender to political correctness and a wish to be ‘nice’ to those who promote an alien culture.
In short, while H&D readers will themselves be divided on religious questions, we can probably all agree that the religious transformation of our nation is not necessarily equivalent to racial and cultural replacement: it’s a different and only partly connected issue.
Turning to the question of race, the main headlines concerned British cities, where in some cases White Britons are now a minority and where Whites overall only remain a majority due to Eastern European immigration.
London is only 37% White British, though non-British Whites (in London’s case including many affluent Western Europeans as well as the stereotypical Poles, Romanians, etc.) help boost the overall White total to 54%. Similarly Manchester is 57% White but only 49% White British.
There are some cities where – even including non-Britons – Whites have now become a minority. Birmingham is now only 49% White, and Leicester only 41% White.
However these Midlands hotbeds of “diversity” also illustrate the political complications caused by immigration. The non-White populations are divided between several different cultures, some of which are far more hostile to each other than they are to Whites, as seen in recent riots between Indians and Pakistanis in Leicester.
Leicester is 34% Indian and only 3% Pakistani – but many of the former are Muslims who identify with the Pakistan cricket team rather than India (the immediate trigger for the riots). Leicester is 23.5% Muslim, 18% Hindu, and 4.5% Sikh.
Birmingham is even more complex, and as in Leicester this has already begun to cause problems for the Labour Party, not only because many ethnic minorities are socially conservative and detest Labour’s surrender to trendy ideas on ‘trans’ rights etc., but also because each community increasingly believes it has the right to control the selection of councillors and MPs.
The racial kaleidoscope of Birmingham is 17% Pakistani; 6% Indian; 4% Bangladeshi; 6% African; 4% Caribbean; with a further 10% being some other variety of black or mixed race. Only 43% of Birmingham is White British.
Most of the headlines focused on English cities, but there are perceptible though less dramatic changes elsewhere in the United Kingdom. Cardiff is now less than 74% White British: of course the city has long had its ‘Tiger Bay’ population of blacks and half-castes around the old Cardiff Docks, descended from migrants from dozens of different countries. But Wales as a whole remains 93.8% White, compared to 81% of England. Northern Ireland remains 96.6% White, though 6.5% of its population was born outside either the UK or Ireland (this mainly reflects Eastern European immigration, heavily concentrated in Belfast where almost 10% were born outside the British Isles, and in one or two other Ulster cities).
Turning from these large cities to areas of northern England which saw an explosion of support for racial nationalism more than twenty years ago, but where the nationalist surge lasted for about a decade at most, the Census suggests that we should not be too pessimistic.
Or put another way, the ‘Great Replacement’ is not yet an excuse for political cowardice, apathy or fatalism.
The political reality is that the vast expansion of the UK’s non-White population is concentrated in council wards and constituencies that we already knew – ten or twenty years ago – would not vote for racial nationalists. By contrast most of the areas that were winnable then, remain winnable now.

Admittedly a big exception to this is East London, where council seats were winnable (and in one case won) by the BNP in the 1990s but have now been conquered, again with mixed benefits for Labour. The Borough of Tower Hamlets is now only 23% White British, and even the old Millwall council ward won by the BNP’s Derek Beackon in 1992 is now only about one-third White British (due to boundary changes a precise figure cannot be obtained).
The transformation is nowhere near so dramatic in those areas of northern England where nationalists polled well post-millennium.
Take for example three cities/towns that H&D knows well: Oldham, Blackburn and Preston. All three of these remain racially divided along stark geographical/political borders, which means that numerous council wards remain winnable for a racial nationalist party that got its act together.
In Oldham the two areas that make up St James’s ward (which the BNP almost won in 2002 when H&D‘s assistant editor Peter Rushton was a leading activist in Oldham BNP) remain majority White British: Moorside & Sholver (89.1%) and Derker (80.5%). A short distance away (on the other side of the former Oldham railway station) begins one of several Asian ghetto areas where the Pakistani population approaches 80%. In other parts of Oldham, Bangladeshis similarly predominate.
But in electoral terms this is only a small problem. There are council wards such as the old Alexandra (since broken up by boundary changes), where a White ghetto was outpolled by an Asian ghetto, but most wards are either no-go areas for White nationalists, or else remain overwhelmingly White and winnable. Overall, Oldham remains 65% White British, and its Asians are divided (often bitterly) between 13.5% Pakistanis and 9% Bangladeshis, with another 5% being some form of African, Caribbean or other blacks / half-castes.
Racial nationalist parties have not been defeated by demographics, but by our own failures.
Turning to Blackburn, where H&D editor Mark Cotterill won a council seat in 2006, there is a similar picture of stark racial-political division. Mark’s old ward Meadowhead remains 91% White British, and most of the old Mill Hill ward won by the BNP in 2002 is similarly 85%-90% White British, though with some Asian encroachment across the ward boundary. Looking at the entire borough, Blackburn with Darwen overall is only 57% White British, but this reflects the increasing Asian domination of their ghetto areas. As in Oldham this represents no practical political change in terms of winnable seats for racial nationalists.

And finally looking at Preston, where the H&D office is based, we can see the practical political options that still exist for our movement. These options can be complicated by racial realities but are not fatally compromised by them.
Preston’s Census figures overall are quite similar to Oldham’s: 66% White British – though Preston’s Asians define themselves as 13% Indian, 5% Pakistani, and only 0.5% Bangladeshi.
The Ribbleton ward of Preston City Council, which our editor has contested several times, is still 74.5% White British. Things got complicated (as explained at the time in H&D) during the 2021 Lancashire County Council elections, where the relevant county council division combined Ribbleton with Frenchwood & Fishwick, which is only 37% White British, and about half of which is an Asian ghetto.
So Mark achieved one of the best nationalist results in England at city council level, but the simultaneous county council result was never going to be as strong.
In these boroughs – Oldham, Blackburn with Darwen, and Preston – electoral campaigning requires local knowledge. Often leafletting literally stops at a certain point where the ethnic make-up of a street visibly changes.
But the 2021 Census doesn’t really change any of this electoral reality.
As Cassius tells Brutus in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar: The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves, that we are underlings.
The fault in ourselves as nationalists twenty years ago was that most of the movement placed its faith in a charlatan, Nick Griffin, who destroyed any hope that the BNP had of building effective branches in the racial battlegrounds of northern England.
In the 2020s nationalists ought to be recovering from the self-inflicted damage of the Griffin era, but instead much of the movement has succumbed to a cult mentality that induces pessimism, and divides us from the vast majority of potential sympathisers.
A fatal attraction to crank conspiracy theories – and latterly adherence to the Moscow despot Putin and the Asiatic mysticism of Aleksandr Dugin – risks discrediting UK nationalism for a generation.
The UK Census results ought to sober up our deluded movement. It’s not too late, but within the next decade or two we must build a credible resistance and a White political renaissance. Scrap the cultism, build a serious movement, and start to win.
PA activists mark Indigenous People’s Day
Patriotic Alternative activists have been celebrating Indigenous People’s Day with a wide range of activities across the UK, highlighting the threat that fake ‘diversity’ poses to real diversity.
Multiracialism implies the extinction of the White Race. PA activists have been in the front line of mobilising opposition to this ‘Great Replacement’.
An especially excellent activity was held at Clifford’s Tower, a 13th century landmark in York built on the site of an earlier 11th century Norman castle.
One particular ethnic lobby group and their fellow-travellers believe that they ‘own’ Clifford’s Tower. In 1190 about 150 Jews are believed to have killed themselves inside the tower rather than convert to Christianity. Jews had become unpopular at the time because of their moneylending activities, seeing themselves as exempt from the Christian ban on charging interest (‘usury’).
In solidarity with these mediaeval moneylenders, 21st century wokeists and fake leftists are outraged that a patriotic group should have carried out a pro-White activity at Clifford’s Tower.
But if the Great Replacement is to be defeated, Britons will have to rediscover the spirit of their ancestors, defy ‘cancel culture’, and assert our own rights in our own land.
Readers can view a wide range of PA activities and discussions at their Odysee page and on the PA website.
Among today’s other celebrations of White Lives Matter on Indigenous People’s Day, PA activists made their point in locations as diverse as the Tullibardine distillery in Auchterarder – gateway to the Scottish Highlands – and Old Sarum, Wiltshire.
(Tullibardine also brews a ‘whisky beer’ called 1488, so called because it was produced for the coronation of King James IV of Scotland in that year.)
Old Sarum was the most famous of the so-called ‘rotten boroughs’ that elected MPs to the UK Parliament before the 1832 Reform Act. Until that reform, Old Sarum (which had once been a substantial town but now comprised only three houses) elected two MPs, while the fast-growing city of Manchester elected none!
The rottenness of today’s ‘democratic’ system is less obvious but even more toxic: Old Sarum was another ideal venue to make the point that White Lives Matter.
Congratulations to Patriotic Alternative and to all those who are fighting for our cause, not only on Indigenous People’s Day but throughout the year.
Multi-coloured Tory leadership 2022: ethnic alibis for anti–”wokeness”

The political circus of modern Conservatism has pitched its tent in the full glare of media attention. Racial nationalists and (more broadly) traditional patriots are looking on in despair.
On 7th July Boris Johnson – despite having won a landslide majority in December 2019 to deliver Brexit (and for better or worse, having largely succeeded in doing so) was forced to resign. His departure will be delayed until election of a successor.
Until this afternoon there were no fewer than twelve candidates either declared or on the point of declaring. (Within the last hour this was reduced to eight nominated candidates for tomorrow’s first ballot.)
And the most striking aspect is that the most traditionalist, anti-“woke” candidates are from ethnic minorities.
Suella Braverman, whose parents were ethnic Indians (partly Goan) arriving in the UK from Africa in the 1960s, is presently Attorney General. Three years ago she attracted criticism from left-wing and Jewish lobbies after daring to state that her party was committed to “a battle against cultural Marxism”, though nothing she has said or written suggests that she has any advanced understanding of what this term means.
When announcing her leadership bid a few days ago, Braverman told an interviewer: “We need to get rid of all this woke rubbish.”

Meanwhile Kemi Badenoch, who until last week was “Equalities Minister” in Johnson’s government, launched her campaign with an article in The Times that focused heavily on anti-“woke” arguments.
Badenoch, daughter of Nigerian immigrants, wrote: ”Our country is falsely criticised as oppressive to minorities and immoral, because it enforces its own borders. We cannot maintain a cohesive nation state with the zero-sum identity politics we see today.
“Exemplified by coercive control, the imposition of views, the shutting down of debate, the end of due process, identity politics is not about tolerance or individual rights but the very opposite of our crucial and enduring British values.”
What is truly pathetic about this leadership contest so far is that so-called “right-wing” conservatives are hiding behind the skirts of black women, apparently in the belief that in 2022 any opinions that might remotely be described as “racist” can only be expressed via a non-White spokeswoman.

Thus the Conservative Party leadership contest has become almost like the multiracial dystopian vision of London depicted in the series Gangs of London.
Ethnic backgrounds of the initial twelve declared or likely contenders included:
a Nigerian (Kemi Badenoch); a Goanese Buddhist (Suella Braverman); a Pakistani Muslim (Rehman Chishti – dropped out) and an Pakistani apostate Muslim (Sajid Javid – dropped out); two Indian Hindus (Rishi Sunak – present favourite – and Priti Patel – dropped out); an Iraqi Kurd and apparently apostate Muslim (Nadhim Zahawi); a Jew (Grant Shapps – dropped out); and a semi-Jew (Tom Tugendhat).
Only three of the eight nominated or initial twelve potential candidates are of straightforwardly British or Irish background going back three generations or more: Jeremy Hunt, Liz Truss and Penny Mordaunt.
Some readers might be surprised that of the nine ‘ethnic’ candidates, only one was a practising Muslim, and he dropped out having come nowhere close to securing sufficient nominations. This is Gillingham MP and imam’s son Rehman Chishti, recently appointed to a junior post at the Foreign Office. Chishti took his oath of allegiance as an MP on the Koran, but also had copies of the Torah and the King James Bible placed on the despatch box during his swearing-in. Even such conspicuous devotion to multi-faith liberalism got him nowhere.
Conservative Future?
England’s most racially divided borough might soon see the first niqab-wearing Conservative councillor.
Fajila Patel is contesting the Bastwell & Daisyfield ward of Blackburn with Darwen borough council in North West England. In 2011’s census the equivalent ward was 85.3% Muslim. Its inhabitants are from varying backgrounds in the Indian sub-continent, some originating in Pakistan but others in India.
According to that 2011 Census, 7.1% of households in the borough had no-one who spoke English “as a main language” – and in Bastwell ward this figure was 26.1%. The main languages spoken in Bastwell other than English are Gujarati, Punjabi and Urdu.
Last year Mrs Patel’s husband – taxi driver ‘Tiger’ Patel – won the neighbouring and similarly Asian-dominated Audley ward, after the campaign video below. These two wards form the core of Blackburn’s Asian population which has expanded into numerous other areas of the town during the decades since Asians first arrived in the borough in the 1960s.
As with many other old industrial towns in the region, including Oldham and Preston, Asians first arrived to work in the declining cotton mills and other manufacturing industry, whose owners liked these immigrants because they would work for low wages and were happy with unpopular shifts such as night work.
When most of this industry disappeared, the Asian communities typically moved into taxi-driving and the retail and food industries, but also experienced high unemployment and crime.
Politically they were exploited by the Labour Party, who treated them as clients who were dependent on the state’s largesse and would therefore have to accept Labour’s ultra-liberal ideas on social issues, many of which are anathema to conservative Muslims.
Typically Labour chose to promote very Westernised, ‘feminist’ Asian women who were in no way representative of their communities, and this led to a backlash. ‘Tiger’ Patel defeated one such very ‘modern’ Muslim Labour woman in Audley ward last year.
The Conservative Party has cynically struck a deal with hardline Muslims in these areas. There could be two defeats for Labour in their former Asian heartland: Mrs Patel stands a good chance of repeating her husband’s victory, while in Audley ward there could be a second shock. Incumbent councillor Yusuf-Jan Virmani is standing for re-election as an independent, after being expelled from Labour last year for alleged ‘anti-semitism’.
What’s certain is that neither Labour nor the Conservatives will speak for Blackburn’s indigenous British. H&D‘s editor Mark Cotterill was elected as a councillor in the mainly White Meadowhead ward of Blackburn in 2006, but since he left the area and moved to Preston, no racial nationalist candidate has come close to being elected.
The Conservative Party’s adoption of an extreme Muslim agenda in Blackburn highlights the desperate need for a party that will address the concerns of the indigenous British. Across the whole of England this year there are very few such candidates. H&D will report on their campaigns, on the results achieved, and on the prospects for a long-overdue realignment of pro-British politics.
Black immigrant population of USA set to double by 2060
Most people assume that the black population of the USA has lived there for generations and is largely descended from slaves, while they associate immigration into the USA with Asians and Hispanics.
However, a new analysis of census figures today shows that the black immigrant population of the USA (the largest numbers coming from Jamaica or Haiti, but also including many varieties of African) is already about 4.6 million and could more than double to 9.5 million by 2060.
At present about one in ten black Americans are immigrants; with another 9% being only second generation. So that makes almost one in five black Americans who are only fairly recent arrivals.
These immigration trends combine with other demographic factors adding to the pressure on European Americans.
In the recently published issue 106 of H&D, James Knight explains that less than 58% of the US population is now made up of European-Americans, and discusses possible solutions for the White crisis.
Jewish actress Maureen Lipman in race row over film about Israeli PM
The latest politically correct row in the acting profession has come from an unexpected quarter. In issue 96 of H&D, a professional actor and longstanding racial nationalist using the pseudonym ‘Jack Antonio’ wrote about the insidious development of colour-blind casting in an article titled ‘Fade to Black – The darkening of our screens and its part in the theft of our past and our future’.
The reason he had to use a pseudonym is that publicly expressing such views would instantly have ended his stage and screen career, since he would be damned as a ‘racist’.
Yet this week one of Britain’s most instantly recognisable Jewish actresses has expressed equivalent views, objecting to a non-Jewess – Helen Mirren – being cast as former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir.

Maureen Lipman has a long record of outspoken political activism in support of what she sees as Jewish and Zionist interests, and has regularly used newspaper columns for this purpose. In 2005 she used her Guardian column to attack historian David Irving, and described H&D writer Lady Michèle Renouf as “a well-known racist”.
Is Ms Lipman now indulging in her own ‘racism’ at the expense of a fellow actress?
If so, she might be surprised by the stranger than fiction story of Helen Mirren’s gentile family and its curious connections with secret Jewish history in the mid-20th century.
Just a day after discovering a secret story of Zionist subversion that led to Jews being banned from recruitment to British intelligence, H&D’s Peter Rushton has been sent back to the archives to tell the true family story of Helen Mirren.
23 years after his death, Enoch Powell’s legacy haunts modern Britain

23 years ago the political prophet Enoch Powell died, aged 85. Though he had been a prominent figure in British politics for decades, he remains best known for one speech, delivered on 20th April 1968 in Birmingham, and known almost immediately as the “rivers of blood” speech.
This is a slight misquotation, as Powell was quoting the Roman poet Virgil, whose Aeneid – an epic composed around 20 BC – described a prophecy delivered to Aeneas, the Trojan hero and legendary founder of Rome.
“As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding; like the Roman, I seem to see ‘the River Tiber foaming with much blood’.”
In the light of last year’s ‘Black Lives Matter’ protests, the previous sentence of Powell’s speech is especially prophetic. After giving several examples of the terrible consequences of the multiracialism that was beginning to transform our country, Powell mentioned the Race Relations Act then passing through Parliament.
“Here is the means of showing that the immigrant communities can organise to consolidate their members, to agitate and campaign against their fellow citizens, and to overawe and dominate the rest with the legal weapons which the ignorant and the ill-informed have provided.”
Whether Britons will continue to be overawed and dominated – whether we will continue to tear down statues and uproot our heritage – remains to be seen. ‘Normal politics’ is set to resume late next month as candidates are nominated for local and regional elections in most of the UK, though under circumstances that will make campaigning difficult.
These will be the first opportunity for Britons in the privacy of the ballot box to give their reaction to the anti-White agenda – the truly deadly virus of our times – that has spread across the world since the death of career criminal George Floyd.
Do the British retain the spirit of resistance to national suicide that animated Enoch Powell?
Sky Sports News fires its White, male presenters

H&D readers might tend to assume that the BBC is the pinnacle of political correctness – not only in its actual political coverage but in drama, sport, etc.
Yet during the last few days its rival Sky Sports News has carried out what appears to be a racial and gender based purge of its presenters on the flagship show Soccer Saturday, aiming to create a more ‘diverse’ on-screen image.
Three longstanding presenters – all famous veteran footballers – were sacked on Tuesday:
- Matt Le Tissier, one of the most technically gifted English players of all time, who played 443 matches for Southampton from 1986 to 2002 and won eight England caps. Le Tissier is known to be politically conservative and caused controversy earlier this year when he refused to wear a ‘Black Lives Matter’ badge on screen because of the group’s ‘far left’ ideology.
- Phil Thompson, former captain of Liverpool and England whose honours include seven League champions’ medals and three European Cups. Thompson has been a Sky Sports presenter for 22 years.
- Charlie Nicholas, striker for clubs including Celtic and Arsenal, who won 20 caps for Scotland, for whom he played at the 1986 World Cup. Twice top scorer in Scottish football.
Soccer Saturday anchorman Jeff Stelling wrote on Twitter about his regret at the purge: “One of my saddest days ever at Sky Sports with the departure of three of my best mates. They have been part of a team that for me was the best.”
Also purged was the main presenter of Sky’s Football League coverage, former Charlton and Chelsea defender Scott Minto – yet another White male presenter to be removed from the channel.

Ironically this week also saw the Liberal Democrats elect a new leader. One might expect the Lib Dems to be more politically correct than Sky Sports, but the opposite proved true this week. The Lib Dems elected Sir Ed Davey as their new leader, rather than the half-Palestinian, self-described ‘pansexual’ Layla Moran.
Sir Ed – a 54-year old White heterosexual male – would have no chance of being recruited by a British sports broadcaster in 2020.
UPDATE – September 2020: Not to be outdone by Sky in the political correctness stakes, the BBC has now dismissed Sue Barker, former tennis star and presenter of its popular quiz show A Question of Sport as well as both of the show’s team captains, former England rugby captain Matt Dawson and veteran spin bowler Phil Tufnell. We can assume that at least two of these three vacancies will be filled by non-Whites as the diversity drive continues.
