Woke censorship of UK Latin teaching
The tide of ‘woke’ political correctness has finally reached one of the final bastions of traditional British education – the small number of schools that still teach Latin.
Classical education was fundamental to many generations of Britons, including those who built and ruled the British Empire (often in conscious emulation of the Romans). Now that traditional education is deemed to have transgressed against the holy commandments of ‘woke’.
At the centre of the row is the Cambridge Latin Course, a series of books first introduced in 1970 and now used in the vast majority of those British schools that still teach Latin. (Although when I was taught Latin from 1978-1984, we used much older textbooks, and until this row developed I knew nothing of these Cambridge books.)
The books teach children their first simple Latin phrases by introducing the household of a Roman called Lucius Caecilius – a real man who lived in Pompeii, the city largely destroyed by volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Caecilius himself had probably died seventeen years before this eruption, but his home can still be seen in the ruins of Pompeii and some of its contents are in the Naples archaeological museum.
The problem for modern politically correct censors is that Caecilius – like all wealthy Romans of his era – owned slaves. These slaves were probably White, but the racial politics of our own era means that any mention of slavery requires all White people to grovel in apology, however absurd, ahistorical or otherwise meaningless such apologies are.
The teaching of history is no longer an end in itself – still less is it allowed for Europeans to have any pride in their classical ancestry. Rather, it is compulsory to search for aspects of the past that lead to denigration of our own civilisations.
In addition, the school and university curriculum must be purged of anything that might cause offence to any protected group. The league table of protected groups is headed by Jews, then extends via ethnic minorities, the infinitely expanding variety of sexual minorities, and eventually to women in general. The only group without a victim card to play in this game are White men.
And the problem with the Cambridge Latin Course is that the slaves in Caecilius’ household are portrayed as going about their daily tasks in a normal and even happy environment.
A nuanced approach to teaching Latin (and Ancient History) would have to accept that there were many brutal realities, or just very strange aspects of life in the ancient world that are not suitable for young children, so inevitably when they are introduced to this world it will be in a sanitised and incomplete form.
But for the woke generation of teachers, the whole point of teaching any subject is to instil wokeness. So the Cambridge Latin Course seems likely to be scrapped, and replaced by something that better suits the brainwashing agenda of the 2020s.
Perhaps one of Roman history’s traditional villains will be reinvented as a hero for the 2020s?
Publius Clodius was a vicious gangster and pervert whose murder by a rival gangster in 52 BC led to one of the great speeches by Cicero, the most famous legal orator in history, who successfully defended Clodius’ murderer Titus Annius Milo.
In this speech (Pro Milone) Cicero refers to Clodius’ part in one of the greatest scandals of Ancient Rome some ten years earlier, when Clodius disguised himself as a woman in order to infiltrate the traditional women-only religious rite of the Bona Dea.
This was an all-night festival conducted at the home of Rome’s ceremonial chief priest (on this occasion Julius Caesar), but in an environment that was not only all-female but which had to be ritually cleansed of all male associations before the ceremony (even of male animals or works of art portraying men).
So when Clodius dressed as a woman and attended the event, it was a major scandal, inevitably involving rumours of sexual perversion involving Caesar’s then wife and even Clodius’ own sister. Modern readers are perhaps most familiar with the case because of the phrase Caesar used when divorcing his wife: although there was no proof that she had connived with Clodius, “Caesar’s wife must be above suspicion”.
Clodius was prosecuted for incestum (which in Roman law meant ‘sacrilege’ rather than what we would now call ‘incest’, though one of the allegations was that he had indeed committed incest with his sister).
He was eventually acquitted because a powerful political ally bribed the jury. In 2022 the verdict of woke historians does not need to be bought. After all in our world, we are no longer permitted to recognise biological differences between men and women, so the Bona Dea ceremony itself would be unacceptable and Clodius would be judged a pioneering transsexual hero!
Perhaps the cross-dressing adventures of Clodius will replace the now-unacceptable Cambridge Latin Course as a means of introducing children to the classical world?
Or more likely the entire history of that world will be scrapped, and replaced by something more suitable for teaching European children that they must bow down before Africans.
A practical plan for the migration crisis – new video
Lady Michèle Renouf – campaigner for the right to normal free research and historical argument in Europe – outlines a practical proposal for Europe’s migration crisis. The ‘Modified Sachs Concept’ was developed by retired medical scientist Dr Gunther Kümel as an extension of the international aid proposals published by Dr Jeffrey Sachs, an American economist.
Many people complain about the migration crisis: very few offer any detailed practical proposals such as those discussed here by Lady Renouf.
This speech was delivered earlier this month at a conference hosted by Patriotic Alternative, and Lady Renouf is introduced here by PA’s chairman Mark Collett.

Madrid government surrenders to immigration blackmail
The Spanish government has been humiliated, conceding to Moroccan blackmail over illegal immigration. Simultaneously, by a strange non-coincidence, politically motivated prosecutors in Madrid have leaked news that they are preparing a criminal case for ‘racial incitement’ against H&D’s Spanish comrade Isabel Peralta, over an anti-immigration speech that she gave outside the Moroccan Embassy in May last year.
Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has surrendered control over Madrid’s diplomacy, because he has proved unable or unwilling to exercise control over immigration.
And the consequences could be severe for Spain’s access to natural gas, and the prices paid for energy by long-suffering Spanish consumers.
This all concerns Western Sahara, a former Spanish colony, where control has since 1976 been disputed between Morocco and an independence movement called Polisario Front, which is backed by Algeria.
Until this week, the Madrid government backed the Polisario – i.e. backed Western Sahara’s independence from Morocco – partly in order to remain on good terms with Algeria, which supplies Spain with natural gas.
For a year or more, Morocco has sought to blackmail Spain into changing its position on Western Sahara. Morocco’s main weapon is control over illegal immigration into Spanish territory. They have indicated that they are prepared to turn the immigration tap on or off. And Spain’s socialist government is naturally unable or unwilling to take firm action against the consequent flood.
Essentially this was the background to a demonstration addressed by Isabel Peralta in Madrid in May last year. The demonstration targeted both the Moroccan government’s blackmail, and the Spanish authorities’ weakness.
Now the argument of Isabel and her colleagues in the Spanish nationalist youth movement Bastión Frontal has proved correct, but the response has been to threaten criminal charges against Isabel!
Having for decades argued that Western Sahara’s future should be settled by a referendum of its inhabitants, the Madrid government has this week carried out a U-turn and adopted a pro-Moroccan position.
Consequently the Moroccan Ambassador to Madrid has been reinstated, but the Algerian Ambassador has been recalled, threatening vital trade deals including the supply of natural gas.
The entire situation is a shambles, rooted in the inability of Spain’s socialist government to stand up for Spanish interests.
And as so often across the West, when the arguments of nationalists are vindicated, the authorities’ response is to persecute us. And as so often, weakness in the face of an invader or a blackmailer merely invites further invasion and further blackmail.

Putin, Yeltsin, Falstaff: the brutal reality of transferring political and criminal power

First, in March 2000: Vladimir Putin climbs to power on the back of Boris Yeltsin’s corrupt camarilla and Putin’s own KGB/FSB circle. In amazing video footage at Yeltsin’s home, the corrupt old president is seen celebrating because he assumes his protégé will continue his influence and that of his crooked family and friends. Yet as we see, Putin will not even accept or return Yeltsin’s phone calls.
Putin goes on to work closely with some of the kleptocrats and gangsters from the Yeltsin circle and KGB, while purging others. And so it has continued for more than 20 years.
I’ve combined this clip with a famous scene from Shakespeare, as adapted by Orson Welles in one of my favourite films, Chimes at Midnight.
Here the old rogue Falstaff approaches his former partner-in-crime Prince Hal, who has just become King Henry V. But his former protégé (like Putin to Yeltsin) rebuffs him:
““I know thee not old man.
…Presume not that I am the thing I was;
For God doth know, so shall the world perceive,
That I have turn’d away my former self;
So will I those that kept me company.”
That’s their world of ‘high politics’, and it’s one reason why we shouldn’t wish to surrender our loyalties and ideological commitments in exchange for the baubles of ‘power’, whether in a 21st century Moscow dictatorship or a 15th century English monarchy.
Putin will doubtless soon experience the same treatment he once gave to Yeltsin: as his grip on power loosens, the new powerbrokers will again “turn away their former self”.
We might see the victory of the true Europe in our lifetimes or we might not. But unlike these ‘statesmen’, honour and loyalty will continue to be central to our lives.
Europe’s future is neither Washington nor Moscow!
H&D readers will probably be divided in their response to this morning’s news that Russian forces have invaded Ukraine.
Having for a lifetime become used to rejecting the lies of our own governments, European nationalists sometimes become too credulous in accepting the propaganda lines of rival governments. The Ukraine crisis is a sad example.
A vast range of European dissident movements – including ‘populists’, civic nationalists and racial nationalists – have become uncritical adherents of the Moscow line. (This is an eerie echo of the 1930s when many ‘democratic’ socialists in the West became fellow travellers of Stalin.)
Yet through the fog of war on this first morning of the invasion, it ought to be possible to discern some basic principles.
Having opposed Washington’s aggression in Iraq, we should (without any illusions about our own influence or lack of it) also oppose Moscow’s aggression in Ukraine. Let’s be clear – our political struggle is not for instant victory but for the next generation of Europeans. That’s why our struggle must have firm foundations of ideological principle.
As a matter of principle, we should refuse to take fees from Moscow propaganda outlets such as RT while this aggression continues.
And we should prepare for what happens next. Putin’s hubris is likely (as the Ancient Greeks knew) to end in nemesis. If some sort of ‘Western’ victory – and the destruction or weakening of Putin – is indeed the outcome, it won’t change the fact that ‘Western’ liberalism is profoundly sick, and it won’t make NATO the defenders of European interests.
The true Europeans – racial nationalists who reject both Washington and Moscow – will need to build true European unity.
Madrid counts blessings of “democracy” and “diversity” amid immigrant crime wave
Forty-one years ago today – on 23rd February 1981 – Lt. Col. Antonio Tejero of Spain’s Guardia Civil made a last stand against the presumed benefits of ‘democratic’ party politics when he stormed Madrid’s parliament – the Cortes – as part of an attempted military coup by forces loyal to the memory of Spain’s anti-communist leader Gen. Francisco Franco, who had died more than five years earlier.
When H&D‘s assistant editor first visited Madrid for nationalist events in the 1990s, Tejero was still in prison – in fact our delegation (from the Tyndall-era BNP) attended a ‘Tejero Libertad’ rally in central Madrid, which drew a vast crowd.
Today many of us would take a more nuanced view of the Franco years – for a critical analysis of some aspects see Peter Rushton’s H&D article ‘The Cavalry of St George’ – but there can be little doubt that Tejero (who will be 90 in a few weeks time) has seen many of his warnings justified in the past four decades – about democratic corruption and the socially corrosive effects of liberalism.
Even the mainstream media can no longer avoid the epidemic of violent crime on Madrid’s streets, carried out by increasingly notorious immigrant gangs, many of whom originate from the Dominican Republic.
Unlike London, Madrid’s local government is controlled by nominal ‘conservatives’ of the Partido Popular, but the PP’s regional leader recently indicated the bankruptcy of her entire ideological tradition when she protested that the gangs should not be described as alien: “These ‘Latin’ gangs are second-generation immigrants, as Spanish.. as you or I.”
A dog born in a stable does not become a horse – even if its parents were also born in a stable!
One effect of the crime spiral has been to boost support for the nationalist youth group Bastión Frontal, who held an anti-gang protest outside Madrid’s government offices last Friday.
Bastión Frontal leader Isabel Peralta told demonstrators that they should object to the criminals being labelled ‘Latin gangs’. These gangsters are not the descendants of Julius Caesar or Trajan! Bastión Frontal and their fellow Spaniards are the true descendants of the Roman heroes of antiquity, the true claimants to the Latin heritage at the heart of European civilisation.
Left wing activists and journalists are increasingly frightened by the growth of Bastión Frontal, which has just expanded into new branches including the Navarre region.
So much so that the media are playing their usual game of searching for isolated incidents of non-political misconduct by anyone linked to the group, and desperately trying to smear the entire organisation. The typical tactics of opponents who know that they can no longer rely on political argument. If the benefits of ‘diversity’ and ‘democracy’ were so obvious, the media and the left would be able to base their arguments on those benefits – but instead they have to search for discreditable conduct by occasional individuals on our own side.
Bastión Frontal is from a different ideological tradition to many Franco supporters – they look for inspiration not to the late Caudillo but to the socially-conscious Falangism of José Antonio Primo de Rivera and Ramiro Ledesma Ramos.
Isabel Peralta – the brightest star of a new generation of European nationalists – will soon be writing for H&D to explain the differences between this tradition and that of the reactionary, UKIP-style right that is temporarily attracting votes of many Spaniards disgusted by the two-party system.
Yorkshire Forum 19th February 2022 – an attendee’s observations
The following is not so much a report on the recent Yorkshire Forum as a personal celebration of those valiant spokesmen.
Yesterday, like the once-true Royal Mail motto – ‘be through rain, hail, or shine we deliver’ – true-grit attendees of the Yorkshire Forum literally skated their vehicles through the snow-iced streets to Bradford for its post-lockdown comeback. There, four patriotic groups gathered. Disdaining all distracting “divide and conquer” factional vanities, these men, women, plus one discreet baby’s political debut(!) brought, foremost, their concern for “Our Home” – our ancestral homeland whose racial survival is turning bleaker and blacker with every alien mass-invaders’ shipload.
The calibre and character of each speaker was equal to his capacity to project a political stance in accessible mode and dignified manner. Handsome, forthright, heartening!
Chairing the gathering was Dr. James Lewthwaite (a Cambridge graduate archaeologist skilled in forensic digging – an asset for a political truth analyst (!); and a proven Bradford vote-winning former Councillor).
Attending were three former BNP Councillors. Guests travelled from far and wide: from London, Mid-Wales, North Wales, Chester, Stoke on Trent, Hull, Wakefield, Leeds and of course Bradford.
Mr. Steve Crosby (from Belfast) spoke first on Direct Democracy. He offered the Swiss model as a stimulus for the British to consider. This veteran community negotiator presented a short video about how Swiss referendum take three forms: 1. popular initiatives, which are citizen proposals to create a new law and require 100,000 valid signatures on a petition to get on the ballot; 2. facultative or optional referendums, which are citizen proposals to approve or reject a piece of existing law and require 50,000 valid signatures on a petition to get on the ballot; and 3. mandatory referendums which are required to revise the Constitution, join an international organisation or introduce emergency federal legislation.
Mr. Crosby’s point was that in this Swiss system its direct seeking of the People’s opinions placed their concerns foremost as opposed to the “Muppets” as he referred to those whom the general public increasingly despise as puppets who, once elected, act as “saboteurs” of a nation’s best interests. The problem remains (I interjected) of how to undermine the enormously funded and powerful Lobbies who monopolise and tyrannise public opinion and education outlets. With twist-speak they knot, mock, and knock the stuffing out of people, not only their well-heeled, toe-cringeing sock-puppets!
As in the nature of a Forum, energised discussion and cordial objections raised from the floor were welcomed by the admirable chairman Dr. James Lewthwaite (of the British Democrats). Mr. Mike Whitby (of British Voice – a platform speaker later but at this time from the floor) advanced the fact that in our ancient Constitution and Common Law we already have such methods which have been “forgotten”. He called for our people to learn more about them and how to deploy these effectively. Dr. Lewthwaite enjoined that such an age-old legal contingency had been available to the BNP’s disgraced former leader Nick Griffin but that despite his legal background, he failed to raise it in a case when it could have re-established a powerful precedent.
Dr. Lewthwaite went on to accredit Mr. Crosby’s magnanimous humility when he stood down during a city council election in order to bolster the chances of a similar interest’s Party, by not splitting the vote. This demonstration of intelligent political coordination for the greater strength gained essentially in a common cause had me unable to contain my applause! A valuable lesson for traditionalist and nationalist Groups who have often lacked interest in coordinating the dates of their events which effectively means patriots take self-defeatingly divisive sides without chance to hear the others!
Mr. Crosby’s rolemodel proved (in my view) the late British philosopher Roger Scruton’s description of “the British genius for compromise”. Mr. Whitby educated one young person from the floor that it’s not a matter of 40-60 years hence when we shall be racially outnumbered but already we are at the 11th hour! This is true at least since Dr. Scruton in 2001 concerning the immigration crisis had declared “Robin Cook wants us to deny our national identity” and that “there is no such race as the British, Robin Cook tells us”; such politicians “they want sovereignty, loyalty, and territory to be things of the past. Their world is one of international bureaucracies, stateless quangos, and rootless elites”. Such a politician could be well-described (by Mr. Crosby) as a “saboteur”.
Alas Britain’s once popular philosopher did not acknowledge the legendary commonsense spoken in 1968 by the Rt. Hon. J. Enoch Powell who clarified that “in the early 1950s there were fewer than 100,000 non-whites in Britain”. He spoke up as a true patriot yet was pariahed for this intelligence. By 2001, Dr. Scruton noted that “now we are asked [indeed were NOT asked!] to absorb 100,000 or more [in 2022 more like one million alien invaders] every year, without border controls or any proof of loyalty to, or even respect for the institutions of our country”.
Yet, frankly I must admit that until then the Canadian Free Expression veteran CAFE campaigner and comrade Paul Fromm suggested that at the word “race”, it would have been the case that I’d think he meant the racing at Royal Ascot!! Appalling but true! All this stealthy conquest through immigration I had recognised by 2001 whereby the HQ for World Zionism had “disappeared the indigenous population” in Palestine. Yet this same phenomena had not yet penetrated my otherwise non-political outlook regarding the race replacement in my own Homeland! Why was that? Scruton nailed that elusive public information when he stated “we live in a climate of fear, in which the most important question confronting the British people – the security of their borders and the loyalty within them – is subject to a strict regime of censorship”. I do not recall hearing anything about that eminent influencer daring to embolden the British people to show up at a nationalist Party rally. What a dunce when it counts! This philosopher defines the “problem”, the “threat”, the “loyalty”, yet was a dolt compared to the doughty attendees at the Yorkshire Forum!
Hats off to all those leafleteers who, rain, hail, or shine, delivered their sterling true alert. The “no-kneeling” leaflet by the British Democrats emboldens those inertia-sunk to rise with common sense (phoenix akin the flag-logo of The British Voice) to say: “No to cancel culture and woke tyranny – their agenda is to destroy our cultural heritage and disgrace our historical achievements”.
The historic stall was well set out by the next speaker Mr. Michael Whitby (of The British Voice). He reminded us that the individual’s mind and body is sovereign, not a human right awarded by any government or “the science”. That our national DNA has changed by just over 5% over 12,000 years. And that we can rely when invoking our protective rights, if only we knew to draw on two and a half thousand years of still extant Common Law and Constitution to say respectfully “I don’t consent” when we are not guilty if arrested for a projected thought crime.
Forensic proof is offered in his well-presented leaflets:
The 2006 book Blood of the Isles, by Bryan Sykes, Professor of Human Genetics at Oxford University, confirmed the result of his team’s ten year study of 50,000 DNA samples from the indigenous British people from all corners of the British Isles. Comparisons were made between those recent samples and that of The Cheddar Man and earlier evidence up to 12,000 years ago.
The results proved that, despite all the claims of “invasions” and that we Britons are a so-called “race of mongrels”, our DNA has only changed by an overall average of just 5% over 12,000 years! The above, added to our peoples proven longevity of 33,000 years, by virtue of ‘The Red “Lady” of Paviland’ (South Wales) proves beyond any doubt that we are amongst the oldest indigenous peoples of the world!
And that we can rely, if only we knew to draw on two and a half thousand years of Common Law to say “No consent” when we are not guilty for a projected thought crime.
The final speaker was Alek Yerbury (from West Yorkshire Region Patriotic Alternative). He amplified how we had “forgotten” that “to unify is unconquerable”, but that “our People who have never been defeated in the last three hundred years can only be tricked into believing they have no power”. His soldierly stance suggested a disciplined approach. I regret we ran out of time before I thought to ask him if he agreed with the Swiss one year’s mandatory military service for every Swiss citizen as highlighted in Mr. Crosby’s talk. To learn to serve in any capacity involving due community service for one’s homeland seems to be an invaluable method to cultivate respect for all labour and levels of contribution to what brings about one’s sense of belonging, sharing and defining us with pride as a grassroots grateful Nation.
The suggestion from Mr. Whitby was a winner for me when he proposed that groups should maintain their identity but that all coordinate together (under a come rain or shine umbrella) called the National Patriot Movement. It’s a now call for the People to stand firm to save themselves from predictable white/black manufactured civil war, coming upon us no longer later – but soon. This mass-manipulation is underway already in our BLM-only life time!

PS Before closing the meeting, the chairman Dr. Lewthwaite invited me to commemorate those comrades who had passed away last year, Mr. John Bean, Mr. Kevin Stafford, Mr. Richard Edmonds and others.
I knew Richard Edmonds very well as a hero to both his British and German comrades who always honoured our finest historian Mr. David Irving. With his facility in German, Richard frequently cited his hero when giving speeches at rallies and at German memorials for their soldiers and civilians.
A former school teacher, qualified engineer, and strenuous historical revisionist, this prize-winning orator always stressed that not all Britons during the world wars were duped. The British People were misled by warmonger Winston Churchill – the drunken traitor and neurotic anti-“Hun” who kept from public knowledge all of Germany’s genuine peace offerings which would have ended (and never begun) the senseless killing off of our best and bravest on both sides of this Anglo-Saxon brothers’ war. “Allies = All lies” was wit-and-pith Richard’s apt refrain!
Two days before our national treasure died on 23rd December 2020, he had translated a Yuletide poem written by Berlin attorney RA Wolfram Nahrath (who so successfully defended me and British honour in Dresden). When I mentioned this translation to Attorney Nahrath he texted: “An honour for me”. In turn Richard was deeply gratified at this mutual respect from Germany’s foremost defender of persecuted real history champions. I believe our British lion died, not mehling about cats-paw anti-gentiles, but with his magnificent race and nation foremost on his mind. Richard Edmonds, our great nationalist role-model, scholar and gentleman lives on in treasured legend.

A new ally in ‘racist’ campaign to defend red squirrel against alien invaders
After years of denying that there was even a problem, British officials are now taking decisive action against the threat of alien immigration.
The immigrants in question – grey squirrels – arrived seventy years before mass non-White immigration into the UK, beginning with just two imported by the banker Thomas Brocklehurst when he returned from America in 1876.
Since then the grey squirrel has become an existential threat to the native British red squirrel, mainly because the grey variety carries a disease called squirrelpox which is fatal to red squirrels but harmless to greys.
As with mass non-White immigration, there have been ideologically-motivated attempts to deny that there is any problem with the grey squirrel takeover.
But today’s Guardian brings welcome news that forestry officials in Scotland have developed a new strategy. This involves deploying the pine marten, which acts as an effective predator reducing grey squirrel populations. Because red squirrels evolved alongside pine martens over thousands of years, they are far less affected by this predator than are grey squirrels, who have been here for less than 150 years.
H&D welcomes this triumph of racial reality over political correctness. We hope that policymakers in related fields will follow suit.
New remake of old (1919) medal
One of our readers in Bangor (County Down) has had these enamel pin badges made up (20mm diameter – gold brooch pin back fitting). It’s a round badge with a Union Flag in the centre, on a gold background. In the outer-circle are the words “ONE FLAG” at the top; and “ONE PARLIAMENT” at the bottom; in gold lettering, on a back background. The badge has a nice gold trim.
The badge is a re-make of a 1919 medal, produced by Unionists in Ireland pre-partition, to oppose “Home Rule”. They supported just ONE Parliament – the one in London, and just ONE flag – the Union Flag of Great Britain and Ireland (as it was back then).
He was given the medal (which badly needs repairing now) by his late father – who had it given to him by his father in the 1940s. He hopes to leave it to one of his sons, but would like it repaired first. If anybody knows of anywhere that could repair the enamel on it please let me know?

Dublin, Sinn Fein and Biden attempt conquest of Ulster by stealth
Last night’s resignation of Edwin Poots after just three weeks as leader of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) has led to much sniggering among the liberal media establishment in London.
Yet this is far more than an internal party crisis for the DUP – it reflects a fundamental crisis over the meaning of democracy, and national/cultural identity.
Sinn Fein – political wing of the terrorist IRA – is trying to force through an ‘Irish Language Act’ as part of its invented ‘national culture’. Absurdly this would give the ‘Irish language’ equal status to English as an official language throughout Northern Ireland, even though it is a language that hardly anyone in the province speaks. Literally no-one in Northern Ireland speaks ‘Irish’ as their first language: even south of the border, only 1% claim to do so. Sinn Fein leaders regularly embarrass themselves when forced to stumble through a sentence or two in ‘Irish’.
As has been shown in several countries during the last century, imposing a language is part of a cultural struggle to achieve or compromise national sovereignty, which is clearly the case here.
The Dublin government and Joe Biden’s White House are part of a coordinated campaign to conquer Ulster. They are assisted by the provisions of the Good Friday Agreement, requiring that any devolved government in Stormont must involve a coalition of the largest Unionist party and the largest Republican party (in effect insisting on a DUP – Sinn Fein coalition).
Would President Biden be happy if the constitution forced him to share power with Donald Trump, regardless of the election result? Would President Macron of France, who had the cheek to imply that Northern Ireland was not part of “the same country” as the rest of the UK, be happy if he were forced to share power with Marine Le Pen and enact sections of her party’s agenda?
Yet that is what the Agreement imposes on Ulster.
Sinn Fein’s chutzpah knows no bounds. In response to Mr Poots’s resignation, Sinn Fein MP Chris Hazzard said that the DUP was “struggling to come to terms” with a “modern, progressive society”.
This from Sinn Fein – whose progressive modernism includes wishing to impose a language long dead (if indeed it ever existed in this form); a party rooted in barbaric terrorism, whose leaders (including the then Deputy First Minister!) openly scoffed at the law last year when holding a mass funeral for IRA godfather Bobby Storey.
The ultimate progressive modernism of Sinn Fein / IRA and their allies in Dublin and Washington is to force through the abandonment of Ulster identity and the imposition of Dublin rule against the democratic will of Ulster’s citizens.
That’s what lies behind the Irish Language Act and the EU’s trade protocols, and that’s why British patriots should stand with Loyal Ulstermen – whatever it takes – against this betrayal and in support of the United Kingdom’s integrity.
