‘Tommy Robinson”s ex-Muslim friend attacks Scottish “racism”

Maajid Nawaz (above left) with onetime ally ‘Tommy Robinson’

Maajid Nawaz is the political establishment’s favourite ex-Muslim. Co-founder of the ‘anti-extremist’ Quilliam Foundation, Nawaz had been a member of the Islamic fundamentalist faction Hizb ut-Tahrir during his years as a student in London, but he later became a high-profile defector and critic of HUT and of what he portrays as a broader Islamist movement.

During 2013 Nawaz forged a curious political alliance with Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, alias ‘Tommy Robinson’, founder of the English Defence League, and promoted ‘Robinson’ across the mainstream media following the latter’s split from the EDL. ‘Robinson’ later claimed that he had been on the Quilliam Foundation’s payroll for about six months.

Both Nawaz and ‘Robinson’ are enthusiastic supporters of Israel, and Nawaz became a Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate. During 2016-2018 there was a legal dispute between Nawaz and the American ‘anti-racist’ organisation Southern Poverty Law Center, after the SPLC labelled Nawaz and his Quilliam group “anti-Muslim extremists”. The SPLC eventually apologised and paid Quilliam more than $3m.

However Nawaz continues to be a controversial character, with some critics doubting the veracity of his stories about the reasons for his embrace and rejection of Islamism. H&D readers can judge for themselves – all we can state for certain is that Nawaz’s account of having been persecuted by rampaging Combat 18 gangs during his youth in Southend is obvious nonsense. As with so much ‘expert’ commentary on the ‘far right’, it is self-evident fantasy, as many H&D readers who actually know the history of C18 etc. will instantly realise.

Now Nawaz has launched an attack on the “racism” of Scottish nationalists, including some within the impeccably liberal, multi-racialist SNP. He writes:

“Violent hostility to outsiders and critics is in the DNA of nationalists, whether on the Left and Right, as anyone who has debated with SNP can testify to. When that outsider has different colour skin the rage seems to be heighted [sic].”

While H&D is no friend of the SNP, it is obvious that what Nawaz really objects to here is not so much Scottish independence (which many of our readers would oppose equally passionately). What Nawaz really hates is the politics of national identity, cultural identity, and racial identity. With one exception of course. He absolutely loves Israel.

Nationalists banned from Facebook

The following is a statement by long-standing nationalist activist Richard Edmonds, taken from from the National Front web-site:

Richard Edmonds – a Directorate member of the National Front, a party now banned from Facebook

The private company that manages the social-media site Facebook, has just announced that the National Front and its chairman, Tony Martin, together with a number of other nationalist spokespersons and nationalist organisations, BNP, etc. have been banned from the social-media platform.

The pretext given by Facebook is that the Nationalists named and their organisations have spread “hatred”, and have proclaimed “a violent and hateful mission.” This is all lies. It has always been a criminal offence to incite violence and for the last forty years, ever since the Race Act, it has been a criminal offence to promote racial hatred. If any of the individuals named were guilty of either offence then they would have been charged by the judicial authorities, which is not the case. And if any of the nationalist organisations, NF, BNP, etc, had been found to promote violence then they would have been closed down as was National Action, But none of the organisations named by Facebook have been closed down by the Authorities.

Tony Martin (right) – the NF Chairman now banned from Facebook – at a recent event with former chairman Andrew Brons (centre) and present deputy chairman Jordan Pont (left),

This action by the private company which owns and manages Facebook, and which has a near monopoly of the social-media, represents a tyranny answerable to nobody. The older ones of us can remember a time when we were told that Britain fought two world wars to guarantee Freedom of Speech. Not any more.

But friends, take heart. This banning is a form of back-handed compliment. Clearly it is recognised that Nationalists and only Nationalists are the true and only opposition to Mass-immigration and to the multi-criminal nightmare-society being forced onto us.

H&D comments:

Apart from the NF and BNP, Facebook have also banned (yet again) former BNP leader Nick Griffin, and his former young friend Paul Golding (now leader of the tiny Britain First group), and Paul’s former girlfriend/deputy leader Jayda Fransen; Paul Ray, a founder member of the a nut-group called Knights Templar International; former fundraiser for the BNP and Britain First Jim Dowson; Jack Renshaw, a former BNP Youth leader, who was linked to the proscribed NS Youth organisation National Action (although how young Jack can get onto Facebook to chat to his young friends from solitary confinement in HMP Belmarsh is not known!) and last but surely not least former BNP member and EDL leader Steven Yaxley-Lennon (AKA Tommy Robinson).

Nick Griffin modelling Knight Templar merchandise – both Griffin and the Knights Templar have now been banned from Facebook, whose policies mirror Griffin’s own attempts to silence racial nationalists more than a decade ago.

All very sad – right? But why on earth should this come as a shock to nationalists? Facebook is well and truly part (and a big part at that) of the liberal, multi-racial liberal establishment, who are our enemies, they are against everything we stand for and hold dear, so why would they give us a platform on THEIR social-media?

Although most nationalists will probably not agree with us now, these bans may be a good thing – in the long term anyway – if they get our young (and not so young) would-be activists away from their bedrooms and their computers, laptops and smart phones, where they spend so much time on social-media, talking to people who all agree with them anyway, and back onto the streets to do some real political work. Work rebuilding the former nationalist strongholds on the council estates of Burnley, Blackburn, Stoke, Sandwell, Essex and many others, which Griffin and co destroyed ten years ago.

One last interesting point regarding Facebook’s statement of the bans on British nationalists – and I quote:
“Individuals and organisations who spread hate, or attack or call for the exclusion of others on the basis of who they are, have no place on Facebook. Under our dangerous individuals and organisations policy, we ban those who proclaim a violent or hateful mission or are engaged in acts of hate or violence. The individuals and organisations we have banned today violate this policy, and they will no longer be allowed a presence on Facebook or Instagram. Posts and other content which expresses praise or support for these figures and groups will also be banned. Our work against organised hate is ongoing and we will continue to review individuals, organisations, pages, groups and content against our community standards.”

If this is the case, then why has Facebook not banned the pages of Sinn Fein – the political wing of the terrorist IRA? Or the Irish Republican Socialist Party – the political wing of the terrorist INLA who murdered Tory MP Airey Neave amongst many others; the 32 County Sovereignty Movement – the political wing of the terrorist group Real IRA – and dozens of other Irish Republican/Marxist hate groups?

Members of the Real IRA – whose political front the 32 County Sovereignty Movement is not banned from Facebook

Why indeed, we may well ask. These are real hate groups – groups who hate everything British and English. Groups who hate with a passion our Ulster-Scots cousins and have carried out a murderous campaign against them and us since the late 1960s. These are hate groups who still carry out real acts of violence (as was seen in Londonderry yesterday).

Yet just like with the many hateful Wahhabi Muslim / Jihadist pages that Facebook lets continue without any problem, they refuse to ban any of these Irish Republican terror groups. It makes you think, don’t it.

Winding up the EDL

Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll led young nationalists down a treacherous path of support for Israel: their true agenda is now clear.

Heritage and Destiny has warned on many occasions during the past three or four years that the leadership of the English Defence League was manipulating its naive followers, and that the real EDL agenda was the opposite of genuine nationalism.

This week the movement’s two founders – Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (alias Tommy Robinson) and his cousin Kevin Carroll – dramatically resigned.  They have chosen to team up with the Quilliam Foundation, an “anti-extremist” group which is partly funded by the British state.  Quilliam’s leaders are defectors from the hardline Muslim group Hizb ut-Tahrir, but they now promote the full liberal agenda.

Notably Quilliam leader Ed Husain defends the State of Israel, calling for a “two state solution” and opposing campaigns to boycott Israeli products.

Husain is a natural ally for the EDL leadership, whose previous adventure in “democratic” politics was their takeover of the British Freedom Party, which promptly allied itself with the terrorist Jewish Defence League before collapsing in ignominy.  For H&D‘s detailed exposé of the BFP-JDL tie-up, click here and follow the link to download a PDF report.

There have been two fatal errors that regularly tempt nationalists. One is to abandon politics in favour of provocative street marches.  These can have a useful purpose, in showing that our enemies cannot command the streets – but some nationalist leaders remain trapped in a time warp, deluding themselves that a wave of street activism will carry them to power: a Mussolini-style March on London, or perhaps a Leeds beer hall putsch.

Many of the movement’s younger supporters find these more fun than the hard grind of pushing out election leaflets etc., but large scale street activities too often degenerate into displays of exactly those aspects of nationalism that most repel ordinary Britons, feeding a media stereotype of drunken yobbery.

The other fatal temptation for nationalist leaders is (by contrast) to become obsessed by developing a ‘populist’ agenda supposedly more acceptable to ordinary folk and approved by the media.  Thus such leaders insist that ideological consistency (or even basic political honesty) is unimportant.  Nationalists should find whatever aspect of popular prejudice and media hype is vaguely similar to our agenda, and should then relentlessly pursue that line.

The EDL leadership pursued both of these errors simultaneously!

On the one hand they promoted increasingly ill-disciplined mass demonstrations; while on the other they sought to purge the EDL of any “racist” associations, insisting that they were only opposed to militant Islam, and were positively in favour of multiracialism.  And needless to say, they were staunch “anti-fascists” and ultra-Zionists, allowing not one word of criticism of Israel.

And so for several years a generation of potential nationalist activists has been encouraged to waste time on increasingly pointless street demonstrations, annoying the general public, entertaining Searchlight and police photographers, and sometimes acquiring criminal records. Meanwhile making absolutely no political progress and poisoning their minds with an anti-British ideology.

The logical conclusion was reached this week.  The useful idiocy of the EDL has served its purpose, and its secret backers have decided to move on, leaving a tragic legacy of wasted effort and betrayal of the many decent patriots who flocked to the EDL banner.

They can’t say they weren’t warned: let us hope that whatever activists remain will learn from these catastrophic errors.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (‘Tommy Robinson’) addressed a press conference this week at the exclusive 4-star Montague Hotel in Bloomsbury, London, explaining his decision to stand down from the EDL.

The EDL leader displayed his support for the liberal agenda of multiracial ‘anti-fascism’.

Murdered Lee Rigby: a sacrificial victim of treacherous governments

Tributes at Lee Rigby’s family home in Middleton, Lancashire

The brutal murder of Drummer Lee Rigby on 22nd May 2013 stands as a tragic indictment of successive British governments that have betrayed our people at home and abroad.

25 year old Drummer Rigby, of the 2nd battalion, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was originally from the Langley estate in Middleton, Lancashire, an area that has suffered more than most from the collapse of British manufacturing industry – and from the consequent spirals of depression, drug addiction and crime.

Lee Rigby rose above all of these local crises and aimed to serve his country: unfortunately his patriotism (as with so many other dedicated servicemen) was systematically abused by treacherous governments.

The prime suspects in Lee Rigby’s murder in broad daylight on the streets of London (film of which appeared online) are two Nigerians, one of them born in the UK, the other an immigrant.  Both had attended the University of Greenwich, and were converts from Christianity to Islam.  One of the suspects, Michael Olumide Adebolajo, was detained in Kenya two years ago, suspected of being en route to Somalia to fight with the paramilitary force Al-Shabaab.  MI5 is reported to have tried to recruit him to inform on fellow militants, two years before the Rigby murder.

The suspects are in several respects on the margins of the UK’s Muslim community: as converts; as Nigerians; and as members of a fringe sect that recruits alienated youth, rather than any of the versions of Islam with longstanding communal bases.

The political roots of Lee Rigby’s murder lie in decisions by successive governments who have transformed London into a multiracial chaos, compounded by more recent British leaders who have embroiled our armed forces in conflicts that have no connections to British national interests, but serve the ends of alien forces exerting disproportionate influence on our politicians.

It is therefore especially nauseating to see the English Defence League seeking political capital from Lee Rigby’s murder, since the EDL endorses the multiracialism that brought his killers to London, and also embraces the aggressive Zionist imperialism that dragged British forces into increasingly unwinnable and dishonourable conflicts.

The proper role for nationalists in response to this horrific murder is firstly to send our respectful sympathy to Drummer Rigby’s family; and secondly to renew our commitment to a transformation of British politics.

EDL Demo in Support of Geert Wilders, Parliament, 5 March 2010

EDL vs. UAF: EDL win on points… scoring a significant victory for Freedom

EDL vs. UAF, Parliament 5 March 2010

Various Sources, 5 Mar 2010: The English Defence League take to the streets of London protesting against Muslim extremism and in support of Geert Wilders, who attends the House of Lords to show his controversial film Fitna.

Anti-fascists scrabble around all week putting out emergency emails calling for support, but are heavily outnumbered by the EDL on the day, whose Divisions have travelled from all over the country to be there.

Given the significant nature, size and location of the demonstrations, there is, shockingly, little in the way of media coverage.

Check the following links for MSM reporting of the demonstrations (the Guardian video is recommended, but ignore the obvious pro-UAF, anti-EDL bias), along with EDL Media and other right-media coverage:

This is England: Britain’s newest and fastest-growing protest group…

MAIL ON SUNDAY, 27 Dec 2009: On Platform One at Bolton station a mob of around 100 men punch the air in unison. The chant goes up: ‘Muslim bombers, off our streets, Muslim bombers off our streets…’

Their voices echo loudly and more men suddenly appear; startled passengers move aside. The group march forward waving St George Cross flags and holding up placards. The throng of men around me applaud. A train heading for Glasgow draws up on the opposite platform and the men turn as one, bursting into song: ‘Engelaand, Engelaand, Engelaand.’

Some of the men hide behind balaclavas, others wear black hoodies. A few speak on mobile phones, their hands pressed against their ears to block out the cacophony.

Lessons to stamp out extremism in schools

Schoolchildren are being asked to debate whether “all white people are fascists” as part of classes to combat violent extremism.

DAILY TELEGRAPH, 17 Nov 2009: The lessons are being staged in Lancashire, which has some of the highest numbers of ethnic minority pupils, before being expanded to other areas.

Pupils are also required to challenge the view that “all Muslims are extremists”.

Teachers are encouraged to lead pupils as young as 11 in discussions surrounding racist stereotypes to stop children being groomed by radical groups.

Graham Mallinson, a former secondary school teacher and managing director of d2 Digital, which designed the on-line lesson material, said: “This is the language that’s used within the extremist literature handed to young people outside schools – whether that’s from far right or faith-based groups. We need to get young people to confront these opinions.”

‘British soldiers are going to hell’

With thanks to the National Front weekly e-news bulletin for first publicising this story.

DAILY EXPRESS, 1 Nov 2009: A RADICAL Muslim cleric has sparked outrage by claiming Britain’s war dead have been sent to hell.

Sheikh Anjem Choudary, the leader of Islam4UK, also dismissed the two world wars as having no purpose.

As the country prepares for Remembrance Day, the British-born former law student delivered a hate-filled rant insulting the memory of the millions who laid down their lives in the name of freedom.

He said: “We have a different understanding of wars.

“The wars which are fought for nationalism, tribalism and land, I feel, need to be condemned. When we fight, it’s to please God or to defend our honour, not land. We are not allowed to feel sorry for any non-Muslim nation.

“Those nationalistic wars served no purpose and we cannot praise any of those who were involved in them.

“Anything that happens to those non-Muslims is a punishment from God. As a Muslim I have to believe they died and went to hell fire.” His comments were attacked yesterday by ex-soldiers and veterans’ groups.

The English Defence League: will the flames of hatred spread?

As the English Defence League prepare for a protest in Manchester, who are the members of this fringe organisation?

DAILY TELEGRAPH, 10Oct09: Tommy, spokesman for the English Defence League (EDL), was adamant: there were to be no pictures of him or the other masked men holding the makeshift swastika flag before it was set alight. Otherwise, it might look as though they were supporting Nazism – which, we were assured, they abhorred.

It was both sinister and comic, this nocturnal gathering in a disused office block near the centre of Luton…
